Delta Airlines orders 20 Airbus A350 aircraft, a new type in its fleet

Delta Airlines have placed an order for 20 Airbus A350-1000 widebody aircraft, Airbus have announced. The A350 is a new type of aircraft being introduced to Delta Airlines' fleet - Delta currently has A350-900's in service, being the first US carrier to operate them.

The A350-1000 will be the largest, most capable aircraft in Delta's fleet, as they push for international expansion. Delta currently operate over 400 Airbus aircraft. This order solidifies their trust and confidence in Airbus, as they opt for these aircraft over Boeing. Many other airlines are making similar movements.

The A350 has more than 1,200 orders from 58 airlines around the world.
