British Airways EXTENDS double tier point offer, to June 2025

British Airways have extended their double tier point offer by six months, to June 2025. This is the second time they have extended this offer and is an INCREDIBLE opportunity to gain status with British Airways, especially with their current business class sale now on.

This comes just as other airlines have been offering very lucrative status matches from British Airways, attempting to steal you away from BA. Virgin Atlantic recently offered to beat your British Airways status, moving you one level up, with AirFrance currently doing the same.

If you don’t know what all this alludes to, let me fill you in. British Airways offer a loyalty program that rewards you for flying with them. The more you fly, the better your perks. You start at Blue, moving to Bronze, followed by Silver and finally Gold status. The status is earned based on ‘tier points’. You are awarded tier points when you fly with British Airways.

Different routes are awarded different amounts of tier points, and the points increase with the class that you fly (ahem, business class sale now on). Head For Points have created a nifty little table here of tier point values, so you can check that out.

British Airways are running a promotion currently that will DOUBLE the standard tier points earned, when you book a 5 night or more holiday (flight + hotel or flight + car rental).

Bronze (300TP required) status gives you the following perks:

  1. Six Avios awarded per GBP spent on flights (see our post about Avios points here)

  2. Use of business class check in desks and priority boarding regardless of class flown

  3. Free seat selection seven days before departure

Silver (600TP required) status gives you the following perks:

  1. Eight Avios awarded per GBP spent on flights (see our post about Avios points here)

  2. Use of business class check in desks and priority boarding regadless of class flown

  3. Free seat selection at time of booking

  4. Use of business class lounges regardless of class flown (this is a big one)

  5. Checked baggage allowance regardless of class flown (except basic fares)

  6. Dedicated support team

Gold (1500TP required) status gives you the following perks:

  1. Nine Avios awarded per GBP spent on flights (see our post about Avios points here)

  2. Use of First class check in desks and priority boarding regadless of class flown

  3. Free seat selection at time of booking

  4. Use of First class lounges regardless of class flown (this is a BIG one)

  5. Checked baggage allowance regardless of class flown (except basic fares)

  6. Dedicated support team

  7. Additional reward seat availability

With this offer paired with the current Business class sale, you could achieve Silver status in just TWO trips, for no more than £1000 total. Your status will last until the end of the current calendar year, plus one additional year. It’s a steal. Book two business class trips away to these destinations, 5 nights each, as a holiday with the link here, and you’ll have Silver status within the year. Book and fly by June 2025, and you’ll easily make your way up the ranks. Maybe even gold if you’re feeling ambitious.
