FAA issues warning regarding Boeing 737 MAX
Boeing comes under fire once again with the 737 MAX, as loose and missing nuts have been found in the mechanism that controls the rudder - a primary flight control surface that governs the yaw of the aircraft.
On Thursday, December 28th 2023, the FAA issued a press release stating they are monitoring inspections of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft after an international operator discovered a bolt with a missing nut, when performing routine maintenance. Prompting further investigation, Boeing discovered additional aircraft with nuts that were not properly tightened.
Boeing has issued a Multi-Operator Message (MOM), urging airlines and operators of these aircraft to inspect specfic tie rods that control rudder movement.
Another blow for the 737 MAX's doesn't fill the public with confidence and will no doubt have an adverse effect on Boeing's stock price.
